  • Recognize

    Stimulus

Recognition is vital to an athlete's reaction time. Visual Speed enhances coordination of balance, power, and rythym in sport and performance. Recognizing a particular stimulus sooner and with better accuracy is what separates the elite from non-elite.

    Cache

It is impossible to recognize something you have not already seen. The brain reads, records, and files, stimuli, patterns, angles, etc., for future retrieval. Athletes with the most files recorded, have better recognition.

  • Track

    The Imagination

An athlete's ability to see what has not yet happened is the key to perfect tracking and ultimately timing. So what is happening in the present, is really a delay of what the athlete has already experienced.

    The Judgment Line

In Timing and Target tasks, elite athletes have the ability to predict the time of collision or impact. Field Sense and visual acuity aid in the process of creating the play. This is perfecting the performance -a trait of a true playmaker.

  • Interpret

    What

What changes are happening and at what speed? How should I position myself to respond to those changes? What is the relationship between my visual skills and the process of efficient and effective performance?

    Interpretate

The verb is the combination of two words -interpret and anticipate. Great athletes do both simulataneously while most athletes have trouble multi-tasking in competition -especially at higher speeds of play.

  • Decide

    Evaluation

Evaluating the field and understanidng the variables begins with better field sense and how quickly your eyes can transmit information to the brain, process it and then calculate a precise response.

    Response Route

The great ones understand their route to response sooner in the process. They almost see the game in slow motion. Development of the mental and visual process is the key to optimal performance at faster speeds of play.

  • Reaction

    Visual Speed

See the game, dominate the game. Elite athletes anticipate what is about to happen while others wonder what has already happened.

    Faster Body

The Gaze makes it possible to be fast and explosive in your response. WIthout proper GAZE CONTROL, we would have fast bodies that simply respond too late. Visual acuity is vital to this process and the overall objective of the OptoGaze formula.
